Global Wave Conference 2020
PRESS CONFERENCE
The official announcement that the Gold Coast will be hosting the sixth bi-annual Global Wave Conference in 2020. It will be a five-day conference that incorporates a surfing expo, movie festival and live music based around bringing together up to 400 experts from around the world that will include surfing academics, marine scientists, ocean conservationist, industry leaders, legends and champions of the sport to address issues and concerns facing surfing as a whole and how to seek solutions and outcomes that protect the sport, ocean, and planet.

Cyclone Swells, Burleigh Heads

Tropical cyclone Winston whipped up a large swell on the beaches of the Gold Coast and in particular Burleigh Heads where surfers were riding the massive waves and drawing a large crowd.
